Design – prototype – the future

MCC’s research and development strategy is to bring future and emerging technologies to a point where they can be applied into new products for the marketplace. One of the current main focuses is the development of electrified solutions for all of our main segments. This is in anticipation of a greater penetration of electric and hybrid vehicles in the commercial vehicle market. MCC utilizes a full array of modern tools for design, simulation, prototyping and validation.
Our R&D capabilities enable complex analysis, design and verification of complex climate systems. Closely connected to the R&D process is the Prototype process, which enables us to  ensure a perfect physical fit of the HVAC system into the vehicle. It also provides us with HVAC-units who’s function can be validated at an early stage in the development process in order to avoid late surprises. The most recent addition to our prototype capabilities is an in-house rapid prototyping 3-D printer, in which we can create almost any complex structure in a very short time.
